What makes it 76% Kids-Friendly: School-age children can feed koi, join simple craft classes, and read kid-level bonsai panels, but there is no playground and interest may fade after two hours, so suitability is good but not perfect.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This time lets you stroll all seven gardens, feed koi, and enjoy the café without rushing the kids.
Stroll through the seven themed gardens:
Walk paths featuring volcanic rock, bonsai, ponds, and waterfalls.
Tip: Use the free umbrella rental on sunny days and pause at shaded spots near the waterfall.
Feed the koi fish:
Buy fish food for ₩1,000 and toss pellets into the koi pond.
Tip: Let each child feed from the edge rail; bring wet wipes for sticky hands.
Relax at the three-story café:
Sip fresh coffee and try Jeju snacks on an observatory deck.
Tip: Order citrus iced drinks and reserve a window seat for garden views.
Enjoy a simple craft experience:
Try tree-pattern dyeing or a related workshop.
Tip: Check age limits and book at the ticket office in advance.

I loved it here! If you need a relaxing place to go in Jeju, this is it! A good mix of history/information and nature. There wasn't a lot of people there and I really felt like we got the whole place to ourselves. Everything there was so beautiful. And I got tl feed the fish which was a treat. I sat in the Healing Chair and as I was just taking it all in, there was a gust of wind and I felt so re...

A beautiful garden area which is the lovechild of the famous Bum-young Sung who was there in the information center on my visit. We were lucky enough to meet him. The garden is a blend of pond, bonsai, sculpture, tropical plants and a beautiful waterfall. The pond houses a wealth of carp which can be fed for a small fee. Books are for sale as well as souvenirs, and a cafe is near the entrance. Ple...

A must go place in Jeju Island containing a wonderful garden with many bonsai plants and visited by many famous people. This is private garden created by gentleman called Mr Sung and we had the privilege of meeting him plus his personal autograph in his book. The entrance fees of 15,000 WON is worth the money spend on visiting the garden. TIP Go the tower and you will a Fantastic view of the whol...

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We got tickets off Klook for less than £7 per person which we thought was incredible value. The whole place is so thoughtfully designed, beautiful and tranquil. There are signs all around sharing wisdom, poetry and history which added to the experience. The signs alluded to the hard work the owner endured to curate this place which just made it feel so much...

It was a very nice relaxing time. The gardens are really beautiful. They had 2 lovely koi ponds (you can buy bag of food for the for 1000 won) and many more bonsai trees, they were really amazingly large and old. This 1 is the largest bonsai I have ever seen. Also very interesting display of petrified wood; amazingly large specimens. Well worth the small admission price.
Spring brings azalea blooms around the bonsai. Summer can be hot – use free umbrellas. Autumn has cooler air and thinner crowds. Winter visits need warm jackets and offer a quieter café experience.
