Babies are welcome, but rough lava paving hampers strollers, toilets lack changing tables, and there is no nursing or rental service, so caregivers must bring all supplies.
Note: Seongeup Folk Village is 48% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Jeju for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a gentle walk, photo breaks, and snack stops without rushing a baby.
Stroll the main alleys:
Walk on flat lava-stone paths among thatched-roof houses and black stone walls.
Tip: Use a sturdy stroller or baby carrier; stay on main paths to avoid uneven sections.
Photo at Dolharubang statues:
Take family photos beside Jeju’s iconic stone grandfather statues at the South Gate.
Tip: Visit early morning for soft light and fewer crowds.
Rest in traditional houses:
Find shade inside original thatched-roof homes to feed or rest your baby.
Tip: Ask staff for a quiet house if the baby needs a calm spot.
Sample local snacks:
Try Omija tea and rice cakes at village stalls near the central square.
Tip: Buy snacks one at a time to keep them fresh for your baby.
Use public restrooms:
Change diapers in clean toilets with flat sink counters.
Tip: Bring a portable changing mat and hand sanitizer.

Nice folk village. Little cafe/shops out front. There was signage in English. Interesting stop but not a priority if short on time.

Interesting aspect of folk life living in Jeju. Was a bunch of thatch hut buildings each with purpose and laid out in a small community setting of a school, courtyards, meeting places, religious areas, and so forth. No one there although weather wasn’t great…I suspect it was part of our itinerary to support local cultural spots with income by buying their souvenirs
