Kids can paddle in calm shallow water, craft two-tone sandcastles, and use free showers, but shaded areas are few and lifeguards or organized programs run only during the short summer season.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to play in shallow water, build sandcastles, and walk to the lighthouses.
Shallow Water Play:
Gently sloping sand and calm waves make safe splashes.
Tip: Bring water shoes and floaties for extra safety.
Two-Tone Sandcastle Building:
Yellow-and-grey sand lets you craft unique castles.
Tip: Pack a simple bucket and shovel or rent toys on site.
Lighthouse Photo Stop:
Red and white horse-shaped lighthouses light up at night.
Tip: Walk the pine-tree path at sunset for the best colors.
Pine-Tree Path Walk:
Shaded coastal trail under aromatic pine trees.
Tip: Go early morning to avoid crowds and heat.
Beachside Picnic:
Open sand areas perfect for family snacks.
Tip: Bring a mat and packed lunch; trash bins are nearby.

You can’t go i to the water. If you want to sit in the beach and have food along with seeing planes land then you will enjoy. I was with kids and was somewhat disappointed as they couldn’t go in the water (weed and rocky)

A long stretch of sandy beach located very near to Jeju City. A nice place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery and sea breeze. There are two unique horse-shaped lighthouses at the end of the beach, one red in colour and the other is white. Many visitors come to take photos with them here.

Iho Tewoo beach is the must visit if you are taking public bus, this is also the best place for a panoramic view of the 2 horse lighthouses. To get to the Iho Tewoo Horse Lighthouses, just walk along the beach and there's a nice relaxing walking path along pine forest. It is just about 5 to 10 minutes.

Clean sand beach and if you go on a good day, you will see a beautiful sunset. Overlooking the lighthouse with red and white horses located like another landmark of Jeju Island.
