Positives:

  • Safe and lively atmosphere: Lifeguards on duty in summer and plenty of people around make solo visits feel secure.
  • Easy transport access: Haeundae Station (Line 2) is a 10-minute walk, so you can start or end your visit smoothly.

Challenges:

  • Crowds in peak season: Late June to early August bring heavy beach crowds that limit space to relax.
  • Limited shade: Shade is only at rental kiosks; bring a hat and sunscreen if you skip renting an umbrella.

Perfect timing! There was a sand castle exhibition when we visited this beach. My fiancé and I were treated with beautiful and amazing sand castle creations made by people from all over the world.

Went there on a kind of sand event day I guess. They all looked so good. But it rained so hard later that day. The wind was super strong that the umbrella we bought just broke and flew away lol

This is one of the must visit attractions when you are in Busan. The beach is nice and clean, not crowded during my visit just because it was cold in the morning. The beach area surrounded by cafes, restaurants and also sea life. You can strolling around the beach and relax your mind 😍🌻

Pretty beach however aren’t allowed to swim in certain times of the year which is very disappointing. Nice to walk along the beach both at night as during the day. Can go along the beach and into the nature area where the walk is very relaxing and pretty. When you get out the other side you can see a good view of the Gwangandaegyo bridge.
