Positives:

  • Stroller Access: Flat paved promenade and ramps let you push a stroller easily.
  • Baby Facilities: Free nursing rooms and changing tables are at the information center and restrooms.

Challenges:

  • Midday Heat: Limited natural shade on the sand; bring sun umbrella or avoid 11:00–15:00.
  • Crowds in Summer: Promenade and playground fill quickly on weekends; expect queues at kiosks.

What is Haeundae Beach?

  • An expansive, 1.5-kilometer sandy beach on Busan’s southeastern coastline
  • A swath of fine, smooth sand composed of weathered shell fragments, gently sloping into clear, calm East Sea waters
  • A coastal landmark framed by Dongbaek Island park to the west and a skyline of high-rise hotels and residential towers to the north

What is so special about Haeundae Beach for with baby?

  1. Flat, stroller-friendly beach promenade
  2. Free baby care rooms and footbaths
  3. Calm shallow water for short stops
  4. Indoor aquarium with stroller access
  5. Short easy loop on Dongbaek Island

Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours

Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time for a relaxed stroll, a short aquarium visit, and baby breaks without rushing.

Perfect timing! There was a sand castle exhibition when we visited this beach. My fiancé and I were treated with beautiful and amazing sand castle creations made by people from all over the world.

Went there on a kind of sand event day I guess. They all looked so good. But it rained so hard later that day. The wind was super strong that the umbrella we bought just broke and flew away lol

This is one of the must visit attractions when you are in Busan. The beach is nice and clean, not crowded during my visit just because it was cold in the morning. The beach area surrounded by cafes, restaurants and also sea life. You can strolling around the beach and relax your mind 😍🌻

Pretty beach however aren’t allowed to swim in certain times of the year which is very disappointing. Nice to walk along the beach both at night as during the day. Can go along the beach and into the nature area where the walk is very relaxing and pretty. When you get out the other side you can see a good view of the Gwangandaegyo bridge.
