Wide boardwalks and railings let children up to 12 run safely and learn legends at statues, yet absence of playgrounds, cafes, or shade structures means parents must carry food and monitor cliffs.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A 2-3 hour visit lets families complete the coastal loop, explore monuments, and rest without tiring younger children.
Coastal Trail Loop Walk:
Follow the 930 m path around Dongbaek Park with sea views on wide wooden decks.
Tip: Start at Haeundae Beach entrance to avoid crowds and let kids run safely.
Mermaid Statue Photo:
Pose by the 2.5 m Princess Hwangok statue on a seaside rock.
Tip: Visit at low tide for easier access and fewer slippery rocks.
Pine-Cone & Shell Treasure Hunt:
Collect pine cones in the groves and seashell fragments along the rocky shore.
Tip: Bring a small bag and checklist to make it a fun game.
Nurimaru APEC House Visit:
Explore the free museum on the summit with summit room replicas and sea panoramas.
Tip: Check opening hours (9:00–17:00, closed 1st Monday) and head there before the trail loop.

Easy walk, quite a lot of stairs. Varying views along the walk. Can do a loop around the whole island.

Oh a lovely walk! Especially during a sunrise! The facilities were so well maintained and scenic, and it was enjoyable seeing so many elderly people enjoying their morning walk and stretching! If you love a good little walking trail, I highly recommend! Especially if your hotel is nearby like mine was~

It is one of the must see attractions in Busan. A mesmerizing ocean view in the midst of thick green trees, on the well laid stairs. We visited in the morning. The view of the Gwangalli bridge is awesome. Visit to APEC house, where world leaders gathered for a conference , was memorable. A minister/scholar from Silla Dynasty too visited thisbplace 100 years ago and unscripted his name in one o...

A great place to stroll or get exercise. Along the ocean the path has steps and is well lit. Options for stairs or ramps in the center of the park. An easy walk from any of Haeundae Beach hotels. We walked the park morning and night, both experiences were great. The path gets busy by 10 AM.
