What makes it 63% Baby-Friendly: Infants ride free and strollers are welcome, but no changing table or nursing room is listed and motion limits walk-around options, so diaper and feeding needs require extra planning.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: The 1h45 cruise plus boarding and a stop at Bob’s Cove fits comfortably into a half-day outing with breaks for your baby.
Scenic Lake Wakatipu Cruise:
Glide 1h45 across the lake toward Mount Nicholas.
Tip: Bring your own blanket; crew provide extras for baby warmth.
Bob’s Cove Shore Stop:
Pause mid-cruise to view wildlife and let your baby stretch.
Tip: Dock pram on the jetty and hold your baby securely when exploring shore.
Open Cabin Visit:
Step into the captain’s cabin for a behind-the-scenes chat.
Tip: Time your visit during calm waters to keep your baby comfortable.

Excellent 90min cruise. Our Captain was very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us. It was very fascinating. Views were beautiful. We had a group of 7 and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Great value for money.

Definitely a must-do when visiting Queenstown. Great way to start your visit to learn some history of the area and take in the gorgeous scenery. Dan, the Captain, and Em were lovely hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed Dan's informative commentary and humor. Excellent value for money and a drink on the Top Deck was superb. Plenty of opportunity to take nice photos and video.
In summer, use sunscreen and a sun hat on deck. In winter, board early and layer up; blankets are free onboard.
