What makes it 73% Kids-Friendly: School-age children are welcome at all-ages games; 2-Game Pass gives free kids’ meals, flat concourse lets them move, and staff can help with prams, but loud tackles and no play zone may overwhelm under-12s.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for a rugby game, food breaks, and concourse exploration without tiring kids
Watch a Crusaders rugby match:
Catch the Super Rugby action at home ground
Tip: Buy general-admission tickets early and use the 2-Game Pass for free kids meals
Explore the open concourse:
Let kids roam and take photos around the stadium exterior and Addington precinct
Tip: Arrive 30 minutes before kickoff when crowds are low for safe exploration
Sample local snacks:
Try stadium favourites like hot pies and NZ lamb sausages
Tip: Order from kiosks near your seating block; kids meals are NZD 10–15

Up the Crusaders. Cheifs and Blues players will be happy to see this place go.

Have watched a Phoenix A League game and a couple of Crusaders Super Rugby games here. Good temporary stadium and reasonably easy to find a park a short walk away.

I love going to see the Crusaders play. The last time I watched them in this stadium was 2017. They went on to win 7 super rugby titles on the bounce so hopefully they can have success after this. Last minute penalty to win the game against the Blues so plenty of excitement.

Something that was supposed to be temporary has become quite permanent, and it's been a great facility for Ōtautahi, Christchurch. I can never keep up with the name of this place, but they hold sporting events and concerts here, most recently at the time of posting was Good Fighters. What a gig! Great atmosphere, amenities are good and staff were mostly pretty friendly. I'd go back!
In summer, bring sun hats and sunscreen. In winter, layer warm clothes and pack rain jackets since stands are uncovered.
