The ferry ride to any of the islands is a must when you are in Auckland. Stunning & peaceful beaches & shores. Beautiful vineyards. The island has enough activities to choose from. There are scenic lookouts where you can enjoy the present doing nothing. There are no vehicles, other than the hop in hop off buses. These buses take you everywhere on the island.

Summer (Dec–Feb) brings calm seas and busy beaches: catch early ferries to beat crowds. Spring (Sep–Nov) blooms wildflowers along trails. Winter (Jun–Aug) offers cozy indoor wine tastings, but ferry rides can be choppy – check schedules.
