Not a huge museum but some very interesting displays and information about the New Zealand Navy. Walkable from the ferry pier or you can take an AT bus.

Interesting place to visit in Devonport. We were there after 4pm so entry was free but I'd encourage others to make a donation. Lovely spot with great view, nice cafe, outdoor playground. Not a huge place, but many interesting stuff if you are into this part of the history. Very friendly staff with great knowledge. North head and Mt Victoria are close by.
Summer weekends get busy—visit weekday mornings for quieter galleries
