What makes it 57% Baby-Friendly: Babies are permitted, but dense crowds force carrier use, stroller storage costs ¥500, and only scattered diaper tables exist; no market-side nursing room means parents may need a five-minute walk to the temple.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: This allows time to sample snacks, use baby facilities, and avoid tiring the baby.
Uogashi Food Court:
Enjoy indoor seating with space for a stroller.
Tip: Use the free rest tables on 3F for a break and baby’s snack time.
Diaper-Changing Facilities:
Find fold-down tables in toilets at Uogashi and Plat Tsukiji.
Tip: Look for the multipurpose toilet sign; bring a small towel.
Tamagoyaki Sticks:
Sample sweet egg on a stick for you and a small bite for baby.
Tip: Buy at Marutake after 9AM to avoid the crowd.
Stroller Storage:
Leave your folded stroller at Plat Tsukiji Information Center.
Tip: Pay ¥500 and pick up on your way out to ease market navigation.

Despite many people saying to avoid due to tourist trapping, it’s really going to be up to you make the decision if certain stalls are worth it. Most spots that require longer waits generally prove to be better but feel free to look around to see what people may have missed. Super packed so expect to march like herding sheep but the food experience was nice to have tried being in there.

Had a great time walking around the old fish market. Different little stalls selling fresh fish, Wagyu beef on a stick with uni, fresh fruits, matcha, coffee, and mochi. Price may not be cheap but the quality was excellent. Good to visit before 9AM to beat the crowd. Most stalls closes at 2PM in the afternoon.

From fresh sushi to grilled seafood skewers, there’s something to satisfy every palate. The vibrant energy of the market, combined with ...
Summer can be hot in narrow lanes; bring water and a sunshade. In winter, dress the baby in layers. Avoid New Year’s holiday when stalls close.
