What makes it 84% Baby-Friendly: Infants ride rented strollers on paved gardens, and five nursing rooms, diaper tables, and disposal bins ease care, yet long distances between zones can tire parents, especially in winter snow.

Positives:

  • Family-friendly facilities: Free stroller rentals, multiple nursing rooms, and baby chairs make outings easier.
  • Flat paved routes: Smooth paths allow easy navigation with strollers around main garden areas.

Challenges:

  • Limited stroller supply: Rentals are free but run out quickly—arrive at opening time to reserve one.
  • Icy winter trails: Gravel and slopes can freeze; strollers may not work and paths get slippery.

Came on July 28 2025. Attended the Segway tour which consists of 45 minutes of training and a 1-2 hour tour across the park on the segway(highly recommended.). Good scenery and there is an area for children to have fun with water parks, slides, inflatable castles and even a hill where they can play Sisyphus with a large red ball. Good for family trips.

Beautiful flower garden! Went during the summer. You can spend about 1.5 hours here. Would combine with the waterfall and the cemetery or the Makomanai art museum.

Beautiful tulip park during early summer. Huge garden with many facilities. If you are taking public transport, take note that the last bus out during weekday is at 4:30 pm. Which is weird since the park closes at 5 pm. They should arrange bus after the park closing time in my opinion.

Such a beautiful place to spend the day! Tulips were in full bloom when we visited and they were spectacular! The waterfalls and cherry blossoms were also a highlight! The sound of local birds singing as you walk through the forests is so calming. And if you have kids, the children’s play areas look like so much fun!

Lovely park, not only with bountiful of flowers in May but also the waterfall was spectacular to see. There was so much more of the park that I didn’t explore but I wish I stayed half a day there! There are three parking areas, the Chuo gate is suitable for people who are not physically fit if you would like to see the waterfalls and flower area. There is a parking fee and entrance fee (per perso...
