How Baby-Friendly is Sapporo TV Tower?

54%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 54% Baby-Friendly: An infant enters free and elevators accept strollers, but the deck crowds, single diaper table in women’s restroom, and lack of nursing room or barrier-free toilet limit comfort.

Reviews4.1/ 5
(from 15,720 reviews)

Positives:

  • Stroller access: All elevators are wide enough for most strollers, making it easy to move between floors.
  • Baby boards free: Children under 6 enter the observation deck at no cost, saving on ticket fees.
  • Seating areas: Ground floor and basement have benches and café seating to rest with your baby.

Challenges:

  • Crowded deck: The viewing floor narrows at peak times, making stroller navigation tricky.
  • Limited nursing rooms: No private nursing room inside; plan to use nearby baby facilities or a bench.

Iconic spot in Sapporo. We just admired it from outside even if I think there are some places to eat and an elevator to upper decks if you want to explore more. I find it very fitting to Sapporo landscape and enjoyed walking around.

Sapporo TV Tower. A cool landmark in the city centre. I didn’t go up, but I stopped to admire it and take some nice photos. It’s a bit odd how much it resembles the Eiffel Tower, but still a fun sight to pass by while exploring Sapporo.

My family and I as foreign tourists walked through and about this iconic TV Tower in Sapporo this evening on our way to dinner. The tower itself was a magnificent sight to behold with its imposing height, and its structure came across as a nostalgic beauty. And it was nice to see that this TV Tower was buzzing with a lot of activity at its base or ground level.

Not as tall as the Tokyo tower but if you come on a sunny clear day it’s totally worth the visit. Amazing views of the city with a beautiful background of snowy mountains and buildings. If you are in Sapporo I would really recommend checking this tower out.
