A solo adult can freely wander the 27 vermilion gates, collect a goshuin, photograph quietly and reflect; the small shrine is safe, free and easily reached by tram, making it very convenient.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Enough time to explore 27 torii gates, perform rituals, and take photos at your own pace.
Traditional Shinto Prayer:
Ring the bell, toss a coin, bow twice, clap twice, then pray silently.

Tip: Carry a small brush pen for neater writing; buy the talisman on site (700 JPY).
Goshuin Stamp Collection:

Tip: Bring your own stamp book; designs cost between 400–1,200 JPY.

The shrine is pretty but quite small. The path to go there is lined with Torii gates, which made it really mesmerising. It’s in a secluded area that’s quite hard to get to if you don’t have a car, and it was snowing really hard when we visited. Went during the end of winter, small walk up a hill to the main Shrine. Walk was slightly difficult due to the melting snow, but the atmosphere was extremely calming and beautiful

Please be respectful. There are at least two signs saying no photos inside the shrine and after the first tori gate. However that doesn't stop people being ugly and bringing in tripods trying to capture photos for their social media. This location is about 10 minutes walking from the bus stop ( uphill walk).
