What makes it 65% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free and parents have nursing rooms, diaper tables and broad paths for personal strollers, but no rental buggies, uneven ground and sudden animal noises can tire caregivers, so visits should be brief and well prepared.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for key animal encounters, feeding zones, and baby breaks without over-tiring a toddler.
Jungle Zone Walk:
Stroll through a forest-like area to see kangaroos, capybaras, parrots and porcupines up close.
Tip: Use the free shuttle to minimize walking with a stroller and plan this first when your baby is fresh.
Kangaroo Feeding:
Feed kangaroos by hand using treat dispensers near the kangaroo pen.
Tip: Buy 100 yen treat coins at nearby machines and hold your baby in a front carrier for safety.
Adventure Jungle Shuttle Tour:
Hop on the free shuttle bus for a gentle ride through the forest animal area.
Tip: Board at the main entrance; seats near the driver give best views and room for a stroller.
Penguin-view Food Court Break:
Enjoy Hokkaido curry while watching penguins swim behind glass.
Tip: Arrive early to grab a table and use the nearby nursing room for quick diaper changes.

#FreePepper Seals are social animals, typically living in large colonies. In their natural habitat, seals swim up to 50 miles a day, dive deep for food, and engage with their environment in a way that a small cage can never allow. Instead, Pepper is forced to pass her days confined in a small cage, a mere fraction of her natural habitat.

This safari is incredibly affordable and never feels overcrowded, which makes for a really enjoyable visit. Make sure to bring yen with you since most of the feeding stations only take coins. You can feed almost every animal for just 100 yen, and the bigger attractions are 500 yen with set times. There are a lot of chances to get up close and personal with the animals, which is rare at most place...

Ok I’m going to write something that should help everyone this summer. I unfortunately took the bus to the Toyotaki kaikan stop and there’s a sign saying to call the shuttle, and I didn’t pay for making calls. The website says there’s a shuttle on the weekend and holidays and summer every 15min, so I stood at the stop and waited in the sun for 50min, but didn’t see any shuttle come by. So I gave u...

The shuttle bus driver was very nice!! He fetched me when I was about to walk in due to unable to call the hotline and just nice he drove out. And also when I left he went the extra mile to fetch me to Ainu Cultural Centre at Koganeyu area. The safari was very nice. Petted and fed some animals and the capybara was very cute!!

I went just now and I would totally not recommend it. Anyone can obviously see that this is animal abuse. The birds were tied up to wooden blocks to stay all day and so were the dogs. There was barely any staff supervising and we were basically allowed to do anything we wanted, which frankly seemed a bit suspicious and casual. This is honestly such a disturbing and evil hearted place. please do no...
In winter, some paths get icy—switch to a front carrier and wear snow boots. In summer, bring sun hats and extra water for your baby.
