Nakajima park is a large tranquil park in the middle of sapporo. Easily accessible, we went here on our last day for a chill morning stroll around. There was a light drizzle but still was comfortable. The air and views were refreshing and invigorating. There are also lots of cultural facilities and even hotels inside the park so this is an expansive park!

We absolutely loved this peaceful and vast park, especially the miniature Japanese garden within. There’s a large pond at the centre, many trees (labelled), beautiful flowers, sculptures, shrines, an observatory, a teahouse, a concert hall, a museum and more. This is a must-visit place when in Sapporo.
