Good hotel for the price. The staff is friendly, the location is convenient, and it’s overall affordable. The rooms could be a bit cleaner—not dirty, but they could use a bit more attention.

Our stay at Mystays was largely disappointing, mainly due to the extremely musty smell in the room. While we expected the room to be a bit old, the odor made the overall impression far worse. Out of the three hotel we stayed between Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, this is the best one. The room is a little dated. We have the two bedrooms one with sliding door to separate the rooms (so wife and I in one, the kid has his own). The kitchen has a rice cooker, pans, cups/plates and even utensils provided.
