HOTEL MYSTAYS Otemae (couple trip)

Good hotel for the price. The staff is friendly, the location is convenient, and it’s overall affordable. The rooms could be a bit cleaner—not dirty, but they could use a bit more attention.

Our stay at Mystays was largely disappointing, mainly due to the extremely musty smell in the room. While we expected the room to be a bit old, the odor made the overall impression far worse. First let me start off buy stating that i'm reviewing the smoking room mainly, and also i would like to start off buy saying service in this hotel is really good and super sweet. Out of the three hotel we stayed between Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, this is the best one. The room is a little dated. We have the two bedrooms one with sliding door to separate the rooms (so wife and I in one, the kid has his own). The kitchen has a rice cooker, pans, cups/plates and even utensils provided.
