Meitetsu Grand Hotel (couple trip)

This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel, and we loved staying here. The location is the selling point for us. This is our go to hotel whenever we stay in Nagoya. There's so many major stores and a department store in the same building. The train station is 3 min away. Bus station is literally in the same building. Takashimaya department store is 5 min away. They try their best for this grand old dame...but still the room facilities are rather out dated... my room aircon drip water droplets..luckily only stay one night.

Location was great bc it was in the center of Nagoya. Initially was quite hard to find because it’s in a discrete elevator around the shopping areas (street and department stores entrances), but there are plenty of signs. Service is standard on Japanese service which is amazing, as usual, regardless of language barriers. The only rooms available were smoking rooms which really stank up the rooms...

You can't beat the location. Stayed there twice from nz. The big family room was great; we just had 2 rooms and they do not have a connecting internal door ... adjacent ... tricky with kids. But overall it's amazing. Rooms probably on the larger size for Japanese cities.

A old, very aged, dated and in some instance a little run-down Grand Hotel. Some very visible poor upkeep of the hotel but can also be due to the aging interior and not because of never maintaining it. The hotel definitely look like in the 80s/90s with dimmer lights and looks like it required a major revamp to keep it up the modern times. Plus, walking along the corridor and reception of the hote...
