HOTEL MYSTAYS Nagoya Sakae (solo trip)

It was a terrible experience staying at this hotel. I couldn't sleep at all; lying on the bed felt incredibly itchy, like there were thousands of mites. Customers should be warned before booking a room here. Never coming back here.

We booked a non-smoking room, but it reeked of cigarettes as soon as we entered. Even the pajamas smelled like smoke. I used a lot of air freshener, but the smell just won’t leave.

Stayed here for four days with my partner. We were happy to be placed on the top floor with a nice view. The location is convenient—very close to a Family Mart and several restaurants. We stayed at Hotel MyStays Nagoya Sakae for about 7 days during cherry blossom season. When we first arrived, our room was warm. This is a great hotel chain if you can find a good deal. I didn't have any serious issues with my room. It was just a bit disappointing how loud the traffic was considering I was on the top floor. There wasn't much difference with the window open or latched closed! Given how much better insulated the walls are than other typical Japanese hotels, they should put some consideration into rooms with a...
