It is a wonderfully located hotel that is at a walking distance from some of the famous Kyoto landmarks, as well as Nijo Station. The room itself was spacious and had amazing views of the city, although it was somewhat covered in dust (I hope the cleaning staff can revisit those rooms that are unoccupied for a while). Absolutely shocking experience. Do not stay here. Checked out at 10am because the room i booked was different than the one i stayed at the night before. I opened my breakfast in the lobby and was immediately told by the receptionist that there is no eating or drinking in the lobby. I closed my container. I asked if they have a kitchen. No. Do they have a rooftop? No. Then an other guest (japanese)...

There is a bus stop just outside the hotel, and 7-11 just next to the hotel. The rooms are by far the most spacious and best room we’ve stayed in, than the hotels in Tokyo & Osaka. Due to the strict policies of the hotel, the reception staff are unable to accommodate requests. They do not provide Yamato( baggage service) but that can be done at the 7-11 next to the hotel.

Room: clean enough. Not well vacuumed/bit dusty but it was totally fine. Service: incredibly polite. Kept my bags for 4 hours before my check in. Very helpful in everyday. Location: I would, personally, rate this a 5 as I run for a living, so walking was easy. But, it is a bit far if you're travelling by foot. However, it is just on the edge of central.
