We stayed in the Yamabuki room & we absolutely loved it! We enjoyed the private bathroom onsen as well as the family bath (my husband has a tattoo & cannot use onsen normally). Originally didn't book the kaiseki dinner but was able to add it same day upon check-in & we loved the quality of the food & service! My *only* complaint is that Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby area & didn't reach the...

The room was dirty. There was hair all over the room and it was cold and dark. The In room “onsen” and shower took so long to get warm that it wasn’t worth it. The breakfast was reminiscent a cold egg and cold sausage. I paid ¥150,000 for 2 nights. I left after the first one. For this price, there are so many better options. In my opinion, this is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. I...

What we loved: It is a wonderfully peaceful place to stay, the rooms feel older but with a lovely traditional charm to them and are very well kept. The onsen are so relaxing, be sure to take advantage of them. Our host Kimiko was kind and gracious. What we didn't love: the food was a sight to behold, it is very filling! Though the quality and taste weren't great in comparison to what we had on the...

The check-in process was very smooth, the male staff was able to speak English and guided us to our room, and took our bags over for us and showed us around the garden. You leave your shoes outside and wear socks on the tatami and they give you ...

Most beautiful hotel I ever stay. Very peaceful and calming garden. All the lovely ladies that serve us makes it one of the highlight during our stay. The room is very spacious and clean with great decorations that provides it a "i have seen it in a Japanese movie" vibe.
