Authentic Japanese experience. Food is excellent. Great service. The hot tub experience is great, even better if it is in the winter. Only drawback is the location. It is quite a walk uphill to get to the top of the hill from the bus stop. Will come to Hakone again.

Would absolutely come back and highly recommend! Important first note: this is not a western hotel in any way, shape or form. If you come expecting a western(or even Japanese light) experience you will not enjoy yourself. However, if you are looking for an amazing Japanese room, great dinner and breakfast served in your room, and amazing hot springs, great stay.

As a westerner you might need ...

The woman who served our m...

If I could rate the staff/service higher than five stars, I would do so. I cannot overstate how wonderful our staff was from the shuttle at the beginning to the shuttle at the end. The staff overseeing our room were ex...
