The exhibit is underwhelming to me, but if you have the Hakone Pass and are into perfume, then it’s a good choice. Otherwise, I think it can be skipped given the location is kind out of the way from other attractions. The resting area is beautiful, but compared to other museums in the area, their garden is not as impressive.

What a surprise bonus while visiting Hakone! We really enjoyed seeing many incredible and intricate works by René Lalique. As a fragrance enthusiast, I recognized the name as a perfume brand due to the incredible glass bottles (Soleil by Lalique). The only downside for English speakers, is most of the museum exhibit information plaques are in Japanese.

Great art pieces. If you want to know more about Lalique History, you may come to visit and have a walk. Entrance fee is around ¥1,200 which takes you around 30mins walk. However, if you want to take a detail look, it may take you more than an hour.

Nice museum with designed display. The works are decoration materials done by glass, brass, also the creative women's accessories. Don't allowed to photography. The place outside are nice.

It is a must! They have a huge collection of 1,500 pieces crafted by R. Lalique! They are beautiful!!! The atmosphere there is peaceful. No pictures allowed and we bought their book. Their restaurant serves very good European food (excellent beef) that locals go specially for having lunch.
In autumn, the maple trees turn red, creating a vibrant backdrop for photos. Winter weekdays have fewer visitors. Avoid Japan’s Golden Week to skip longer lines.
