Had a wonderful time in Fukuoka staying at Guesthouse SHIP. I was able to leave my luggage earlier than check in time. I also had my big suitcase shipped out there and they kindly accepted it when it got delivered. The rooms are as expected of a hostel, but still nice to stay in. After 2200 it was quiet and the beds were comfortable as well. There's a washing machine there and free use of the kit...

Boy, this place really made me realize how old and boomer I’ve become. Aside from being mildly overpriced, the building itself is noisy and shaky as fudge, while fellow guests seem incapable of grasping the simple "quiet after 10 p.m." rule. One night stay as leaving on ferry to busan next day. Absolutely lovely friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing environment to be 100% recommend for solo travelers. 👍😁

I was there in winter, so when I got out of the shower I was a bit cold.

Don’t expect a lot of space to move around or super fancy equipment (although it is more than fancy enough, it’s Japan y’know? 😅). Instead, come here for the MOOD! I finally felt like I was in a real hostel, not in some kind of cheap dorm where nobody talks to each other. The staff is gre...
