Fukuoka Guesthouse Ship (couple trip)

Had a wonderful time in Fukuoka staying at Guesthouse SHIP. I was able to leave my luggage earlier than check in time. I also had my big suitcase shipped out there and they kindly accepted it when it got delivered. The rooms are as expected of a hostel, but still nice to stay in. Boy, this place really made me realize how old and boomer I’ve become. Aside from being mildly overpriced, the building itself is noisy and shaky as fudge, while fellow guests seem incapable of grasping the simple "quiet after 10 p.m." rule. People are stomping all over the tatami mats like an AT-AT, microwaving food, coming in and out of the room 437 times in 20 minutes, fiddling with zippers an...

One night stay as leaving on ferry to busan next day. Absolutely lovely friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing environment to be 100% recommend for solo travelers. 👍😁

Very nice hostel! There aren't many of us, so it creates a warmer atmosphere. I found the beds quite comfortable, contrary to what some of the comments might say. The location is great too, I managed to do everything I wanted on foot and the staff are very friendly. The only downside is that the showers are poorly insulated. I was there in winter, so when I got out of the shower I was a bit cold.

I spent a few days in Fukuoka Guesthouse Ship and loved it. This is a tiny place in an old traditional house.
