There are no nursing rooms, changing tables, or stroller rentals; paths are mostly flat but beach sand is rough, so brief sightseeing is possible yet comfort and hygiene for babies are poor.
Note: Sakurai Futamigaura's Couple Stones is 40% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Fukuoka for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to stroll stroller-friendly paths, visit the shrine, and relax by the Couple Stones without rushing.
View Couple Stones from the paved path:
Follow the smooth, flat path for a clear view of the husband and wife rocks.
Tip: Stay on the paved walkway for easy stroller access and steady footing.
Visit Sakurai Shrine grounds:
Explore shaded, level grounds under mature trees near the stones.
Tip: Bring a light blanket to sit on the shrine steps while your baby naps.
Take a family photo under the torii gate:
Frame the white gate with the Couple Stones behind for a memorable shot.
Tip: Plan for low tide to step closer safely; arrive 30 minutes before low tide.
Snack break at Beach Cafe SUNSET:
Order light snacks or drinks with sea views.
Tip: Call ahead to request a high chair and confirm stroller parking.

Truly one of the highlights of Itoshima. The location right by the beach makes it feel special and the views are absolutely beautiful. It can get busy, but the atmosphere is still calm and peaceful once you’re inside the shrine area. There are plenty of little shops and food stalls nearby, which makes exploring the area even more enjoyable. If you’re visiting Itoshima, this is definitely one of th...

Just a couple of minutes away from Hakata Station. Easily accessible by bus or a combination of train and bus. Got here at around 9am, and is not yet packed with tourists. There are two restaurants near...

Lots of tourists and cafes around. You may find restaurants that are equally nice than the popular seafood restaurant. Overall it’s a very nice and chill beach which resembles Hawaii/ Australia 😊 Do note that everywhere requires parking fee.
