A good half day trip for your Fukuoka stay. 10 minutes boat ride from Meinohama ferry and another 10 mins shuttle ride from the ferry station to the park. Beautiful landscapes and great view of Fukuoka bay area. Park features different flowers around the year, dependent on the season. There’s a nice grill restaurant where we ate.

It is a peaceful and beautiful island. If you are a traveller in Fukuoka, it is a must visit. It doesn’t cost that much but the scenery this place can offer is top tier. The sunflower is in season of summer and every different season they offer different flowers. They also have restaurants and offer sumptuous meals and recreational activities you may enjoy.
Spring (Mar–Apr): rapeseed and cherry blossoms. Summer (Jul–Aug): sunflowers—bring sun protection. Autumn (Sep–Oct): cosmos at golden hour. Winter: daffodils—pack layers.
