Babies ride rented strollers on gentle paths and parents use nursing rooms, diaper stations and free hot water, although some hills, ferry steps and park shuttles demand occasional lifting.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Gives time for a slow flower walk, café breaks and retro street without tiring your baby.
Gentle flower viewing:
Stroll paved paths through spring canola, summer sunflowers or autumn cosmos.
Tip: Use benches along the route for regular baby breaks and photo spots.
Omohide-dōri retro walk:
Explore a flat street of Meiji–Showa shopfronts and cafés near the ferry terminal.
Tip: Keep your stroller on the low side to fit under shop awnings and crowds.
Café rest stops:
Sit in park cafés or Noko-no-Ichi market cafés with high chairs and changing tables.
Tip: Ask staff for hot water to prepare formula free of charge.
Picnic by the sea:
Gather at tables near the terminal or café plaza for a waterside lunch.
Tip: Buy fresh bento or local snacks at market stalls before you board.

A good half day trip for your Fukuoka stay. 10 minutes boat ride from Meinohama ferry and another 10 mins shuttle ride from the ferry station to the park. Beautiful landscapes and great view of Fukuoka bay area. Park features different flowers around the year, dependent on the season. There’s a nice grill restaurant where we ate.

It is a peaceful and beautiful island. If you are a traveller in Fukuoka, it is a must visit. It doesn’t cost that much but the scenery this place can offer is top tier. The sunflower is in season of summer and every different season they offer different flowers. They also have restaurants and offer sumptuous meals and recreational activities you may enjoy.
