A shrine located at the heart of the city. Didn’t get to know the history of the shrine, but it’s a place where you would feel calm and peaceful in the hustles of the city.

This place caught my eye as I was having coffee nearby. The shrine is located within the shopping area of Tenjin and beside the Blue bottle cafe. It is a small shrine and very accessible. I noticed a lot of people go here. For me, it's also a must visit place in Fukuoka.

When is the best time to visit Kego Shrine (Fukuoka, Japan)?

Spring brings cherry blossoms to the park paths. Summer ema designs feature cool motifs—look for waves and fans. In autumn, follow the changing leaf colors around the torii. Winter omikuji designs are festive; visit around New Year’s to see special stamps.
