A shrine located at the heart of the city. Didn’t get to know the history of the shrine, but it’s a place where you would feel calm and peaceful in the hustles of the city.

This place caught my eye as I was having coffee nearby. The shrine is located within the shopping area of Tenjin and beside the Blue bottle cafe. It is a small shrine and very accessible. I noticed a lot of people go here. For me, it's also a must visit place in Fukuoka.

When is the best time to visit Kego Shrine (Fukuoka, Japan)?

Visit in spring for cherry blossoms in Kego Park. Enjoy autumn foliage around the camphor tree. In winter, draw New Year omikuji with special designs. Early summer mornings are cooler for prayers.
