Amazing experience! It is an authentic stay and you should absolutely get dinner and breakfast! They are delicious and traditional. We were lucky to be able to see Fuji. Has some great walks nearby and very accessible by bus. They have the private onsen, the room bath and also the public onsen, all of which is great and the public onsen is open all night long. I was very clean after my visit.

Yamadaya is a hotel to give a view of Fuji Mt right out of window, no bullshit. It is apparently run by a local lovely family and for the family. The view is absolution stunning and tranquil at the same time. Warning ! Its modern hotel appearance completely conceals a traditional identity of Japanese structural and style build. Tansu storage with moving Fusuma door (襖) , Tatami bamboo floor throu...

This place is very old and run down. The walls are chipping and have lots of stains, tub is dirty and just overall gross. I was really looking forward to this location because of the reviews but instead I felt like I was in the hood. We did not stay and this was a waste of money. All the 5 star reviews look staged and paid for. The views are nice but all of Mt Fuji area looks beautiful. I do not r...

With only a few rooms, the entire place gives off a peaceful, intimate vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another era of Japan — quiet, traditional, and full of character. The view from our room was absolutely stunning — Mt. Fuji standing tall right outside the window....

I trawled the internet to find a day-use onsen with a great view of Fuji and found Yamadaya. The hotel website asks for reservations to be made by phone, which doesn’t make sense to me as I don’t speak Japanese. I sent them an email, they never replied. I sent them a second email months later with AI-translated Japanese and we got a reservation. The view is really good. It’s one of the best vie...
