This hotel was amazing! It has a very cozy, relaxed feel to it. Lots of families with kids. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, and the front desk all spoke fluent English. We had the Japanese style room with a lake view and it was the most spacious room we had in Japan. The view was great as well. They had lots of nice amenities like free coffee and snacks. Really cute hotel, beautifully situated just at the lake. The hotel is typically japanese, so yes the mattresses are on the floor, but we still felt it quite comfortably. The hotel offers a lot of nice services, from different onsen over free coffee, ice cream and snacks. It even has a manga library and a lot of board games and toys for kids. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We booked a room in April, for two nights, on the second floor with a private open air bath, with an awesome mountain view. There was parking available at the front door of our rental car.
