What makes it 76% Kids-Friendly: Children 4-12 get discounted seats, a mascot, and an exciting splash, yet fixed bench seats, water spray, and no seat belts mean attentive supervision is essential.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: A 50-minute ride plus boarding, video preview, and snacks fits young kids’ attention spans.
Land-to-water transition:
Drive through the forest then plunge into Lake Yamanaka.
Tip: Have kids join the cabin-wide countdown and sit near the front for the biggest splash.
Mount Fuji views:
See Mount Fuji rise above the lake shoreline from your seat.
Tip: Choose a window seat or under the clear roof and bring a camera for photos.
Kids’ pre-ride video and mascot:
Watch the short video showing the ride and meet Chibi Kaba the hippo mascot.
Tip: Arrive early to see the video and encourage kids to spot the mascot during the ride.

🚌💦 Yamanakako KABA – A Must-Try Amphibious Adventure! 🗻🛶 This was one of those experiences that totally exceeded expectations! From land to lake, the ride was not just scenic — it was fun, thoughtful, and unique. 🎤 The Japanese guide was a total gem! Even though the tour was in Japanese, she held up a translation chart in English and Chinese as she explained — super considerate and engaging...

We could enjoy a beautiful scenery with Mt. Fuji. From the beginning of the tour until end , there was only Japanese explanation. There were only 2-3 Japanese customers ( included me ) . I hope they provide the video with English subtitles and multilingual ear phone guide like precious time.

Place is nice n clean.. There is a souvenir shop on ground floor.. The ticket counter is 2nd floor.. Place gets filled up quickly as well... U get to see the view of Mt Fuji but unfortunately for us, it was very cloudy and we did not get to see... Was a good experience though...

This is a place to ride the Kaba Bus, which is about a 15-20 minutes ride through Lake Yamanaka. This is a great place to enjoy the view of the lake & Mount Fuji while learning & exploring about the site & the animals in it. It was a totally different experience!

The ride takes about 15 mins in the lake. The view of Mt. Fuji is beautiful.
In July–August ticket prices rise by about ¥200 per person. Summer mist cools on board but bring a light jacket in cooler months for breeze through open windows.
