Babies may ride on a parent’s lap for ¥400 and the terminal has diaper bins, yet ladder boarding, no stroller space, no changing table, and sudden water spray demand well-prepared caregivers.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time to arrive at Mori-no-Eki terminal, use lockers and restrooms, and enjoy the full 40-minute amphibious tour without rushing a baby.
Forest Drive on Amphibious Bus:
Start your journey by cruising through the nearby forest roads on the KABA bus.
Tip: Carry your baby in a soft carrier to keep hands free and enjoy the forest breeze securely.
Splash Entry into Lake Yamanaka:
Experience the thrill as the bus turns into a boat and dives into the lake.
Tip: Choose seats away from open windows and bring a light rain cover or spare clothes for your baby.
Pre-ride at KABA Cafe & Shop:
Relax in the terminal café with light meals and grab souvenirs before boarding.
Tip: Use the multi-purpose restroom with diaper disposal on the 2nd floor before the ride.

🚌💦 Yamanakako KABA – A Must-Try Amphibious Adventure! 🗻🛶 This was one of those experiences that totally exceeded expectations! From land to lake, the ride was not just scenic — it was fun, thoughtful, and unique. 🎤 The Japanese guide was a total gem! Even though the tour was in Japanese, she held up a translation chart in English and Chinese as she explained — super considerate and engaging...

We could enjoy a beautiful scenery with Mt. Fuji. From the beginning of the tour until end , there was only Japanese explanation. There were only 2-3 Japanese customers ( included me ) . I hope they provide the video with English subtitles and multilingual ear phone guide like precious time.

Place is nice n clean.. There is a souvenir shop on ground floor.. The ticket counter is 2nd floor.. Place gets filled up quickly as well... U get to see the view of Mt Fuji but unfortunately for us, it was very cloudy and we did not get to see... Was a good experience though...

This is a place to ride the Kaba Bus, which is about a 15-20 minutes ride through Lake Yamanaka. This is a great place to enjoy the view of the lake & Mount Fuji while learning & exploring about the site & the animals in it. It was a totally different experience!

The ride takes about 15 mins in the lake. The view of Mt. Fuji is beautiful.
