I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Westin Excelsior in Rome. I stayed for five nights, and although the hotel has an initial appearance of charm, nothing about my experience reflected a true five-star standard. The reception and check-in staff were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, often redirecting me to the Concierge—who, to their credit, were the only helpful part of the front des...

Beautiful and elegant hotel. They have attentive staff and they cleaned the room everyday and provided free bottles of water and some jelly candies. They also had a welcome gift of wine and snacks upon arrival. We were too busy with activities that we were not able to fully enjoy the hotel but from what we did, we were very happy. Location is quiet and great. Not too far from 2 train stations.

However, we felt terrible discrimination from th...

Timeless Charm with a Quirky Edge I loved to come back to this hotel after so many years. It’s like stepping into a time capsule—grand, old-world, and unapologetically itself. That said, the familiarity is comforting....

Thankfully, the staff accommodated us in a temporary smaller room, which was very nice. The suite had wonderful balconies, but the doors were locked. Additionally, the bathroom suite jacuzzi tub jets did not work, nor did t...
