What makes it 79% Kids-Friendly: The site runs weekend creative labs and summer camps, allows prams, and is free, so kids can learn and move, but hands-off rules around the art and cavernous halls demand constant adult supervision.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time to explore large installations, join a hands-on workshop and take breaks without rushing kids.
Discover ‘The Seven Heavenly Palaces’:
Walk through Anselm Kiefer’s monumental halls to see towering structures up close.
Tip: Let kids stand beside the towers for a fun scale comparison photo.
Join a Sunday Creative Workshop:
Take a 90-minute art trail tailored by age for hands-on fun.
Tip: Book online in advance; arrive 10 minutes early to choose your materials.
Use the ‘Bubbles’ Digital Guide:
Access free videos, audio and PDFs explaining each installation.
Tip: Download content at home and use free Wi-Fi to avoid delays.

I was not expecting to be swooped off my feet by how good "This will not end well" exhibit is. Aside from that, space is gigantic and I just love how it makes art accessible to all. It also seemed to have quite an interesting area for kids.

By far the best place we visited in Milan. An enormous industrial space turned into a modern art gallery that can house large scale art installations. Interesting and thought-proviking pieces were on display. The building itself is also awesome, the inner units are cleverly organised and the staff is prepared and kind. There is a really nice "bistrot" in the building, which is also worth a visit. ...

Free admission, but tickets must be booked online. Located next to the mall, this art exhibition is a hidden gem that's definitely worth a visit!!

This gallery was so impressive and amazing! It is so big, almost overwhelming. They have huge art installations and yet it still feels spacious and calm. By far one of the best and most beautiful galleries I ever got to visit!
In June–July, drop into free weekend Edu Summer labs. On Milano MuseoCity days, book 90-min Family Labs early to secure a spot.
