What makes it 78% Couple-Friendly: Couples can enjoy quiet hand-in-hand walks under double tree rows, share a picnic or rent two bikes. Romance is modestly tempered by only two kiosks and weekend crowding on sunny days.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Enough time to stroll the avenues, enjoy a picnic, cycle briefly and relax at a kiosk without rushing.
Romantic Stroll on Tree-lined Avenues:
Walk hand-in-hand under double rows of plane trees along the main asphalt paths.
Tip: Enter via Via Novara to reach the longest lined path and start your walk beneath the canopy.
Picnic on the Meadows:
Spread a blanket on the open lawns and share homemade or local deli treats.
Tip: Head to the meadow near the small wetland for a quieter spot and catch late afternoon light.
Couple Bike Tour:
Cycle the park’s paved loop together on shared or rented bikes.
Tip: Use a BikeMi day pass (€4.50) and keep rides under 30 min to avoid extra fees.
Coffee Break at Park Kiosks:
Grab coffee, soft drinks or simple snacks from one of two fixed kiosks.
Tip: Try an afternoon espresso around €1.50–€3 and sit at a bench facing the green lawns.

It's wonderful to walk in this park that distances you from the city, clean and frequented by people of all ages!

Definitely the best park in Milan for sports. There are tennis courts, volleyball courts, American football courts, soccer courts, beach volleyball courts, ping pong courts, and even some small areas with pull-up bars and other fitness equipment. Of course, everything is free, as it's a public park. Ample space for any type of activity, a rare find in Milan, and well-connected by public transport.
In spring the avenues fill with fresh green foliage. In September–October join free GEV botanical walks at 10 AM from the Via Novara kiosk on weekends.
