We had a lovely stay! It was wonderful to be back in Florence and stay at the Montebello. All the staff at the hotel were attentive, the breakfast was great, and the location is perfect! It allows you the opportunity to have lovely walks by the river and watch the beautiful sunset light on the water. Perfection! A luxurious hotel with wonderful staff! We stayed for three nights at this beautiful hotel in Florence. It’s a bit out of the way from attractions but we prefer that to a noisy spot. There are nice cafes near by and a grocery store which had lots of nice things to choose from. The staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend!

I am at a loss to how this hotel has a high star rating. Be very careful of what room you book and ask for photos to confirm. We booked a junior suite - no natural light up 3 flights of stairs into an attic! We asked for a new room and of course no other room.
