Pitti Palace (couple trip)

Sweet place to see, ornamental ceilings, and lots of amazing art. Get the combined 5 day ticket with Uffizi if you want to save some coin, let's you see the palace and gardens combined alongside an amazing gallery. Docking one point because the proximity sensors in the modern art gallery section were so sensitive, sometimes you don't know what even set the alarm off.

We only had about two hours spare and we chose to see the Modern Art exhibit… not modern art as one would normally expect to see… modern Italian art (1700s- early 1900s) would be more accurate. On a very hot day, it was a refuge from the sun and if we had more time, it would have been good to see more!

This was the perfect way to end of visit to Firenze. We spent a leisurely day exploring the Palazzo and Boboli Gardens. The fashion exhibit was magnificent... what made it so unique was the paintings that matched the time period of the dresses. This massive Renaissance palace is packed with incredible art, fancy royal rooms, and even a fashion museum. The highlights are the Palatine Gallery (full of famous paintings) and the chance to explore the connected Boboli Gardens.
