What makes it 45% Baby-Friendly: Babies are admitted and standard toilets have changing tables, but deafening crowd noise, steep terraces, no quiet nursing room, and awkward stroller parking create a taxing outing for caregivers.
Note: Pearse Stadium is 45% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Galway for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: A league match lasts about 1.5–2 hours and allows time for a quick walk and baby breaks
Lower-division league match:
Watch a less crowded football or hurling game with under-16s free
Tip: Buy adult tickets (€12–€15) in advance and choose seats near an aisle for easy stroller access
Picnic on front lawn:
Relax on the green outside the main entrance
Tip: Bring snacks and a blanket so your baby can crawl safely before gates open
Self-guided Salthill walk:
Stroll the seafront and circle the stadium perimeter
Tip: Use this calm time to nurse or change your baby away from crowds
Use baby-change facilities:
Find free changing tables in public and accessible toilets
Tip: Ask stewards on arrival for the nearest baby-changing location

This is the home of Galway Hurling & Football. A basic but nice stadium with a capacity of circa 26000. Fabulous on a sunny day but be sure to bring a coat/jacket if it is not summer conditions. Because even if fine it gets quite cold there. 1 covered stand with good seating but be there early as this fills up first. Plenty of basic toilet facilities . Usually a burger van (Super Macs )and a few t...

A great day ay Pearse Stadium with the new grandstand and a vocal cowd who cheered home the locals to a solid victory over Wexford 1-29 to 2 -16. Far too many mistakes from Wexford and the better team won on the day. This was our 1st visit to the park in 2 years and we were very impressed with the improvements to the seating and ground capacity which was nowhere near full on the day..

A fine stadium. Just a pity that the children can't view the game on a busy game day from the terrace as their view is generally obstructed by taller people. Also then when they go down to the fence, that's too tough for them to look out over it.

Very modern stand, good seating, toilets very modern. Very well equipped area for food service. Very nice for a visit.

Facilities are poor and, as Galway is a big GAA county, there is a big need for an upgrade. But the place does have a great atmosphere which is why you'd be coming here in the first place. I'm here for the Dublin match later but I've attached a few photos and a short video of Galway v Limerick in hurling.
Summer months (May–August) have more league games but check online calendar for exact dates.
