What makes it 78% Baby-Friendly: Babies benefit from smooth stroller routes, free change tables, shady benches and a quiet willow nook, but there is no dedicated nursing room, stroller hire or large covered area in case of heavy rain.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: A 2-3 hour visit lets you cover the main loop, explore the willow garden for naps, and use shaded benches and facilities without rushing your baby.
Stroller-Friendly Scenic Loop:
Follow the 1 km paved path under mature trees around the park.
Tip: Stick to the main loop for smooth surfaces and avoid muddy side paths.
Willow “Zen” Garden Nap Spot:
Relax under the living willow tunnels on soft grass.
Tip: Set up your stroller inside the willow room for a calm, shaded nap area.
Toddler Zone Sensory Play:
Let your baby explore low slides and sensory panels in the toddler section.
Tip: Supervise closely; the soft surfacing cushions any tumbles.
Picnic Beneath Mature Oaks:
Use picnic benches under oak trees near the playground.
Tip: Bring a changing pad; the benches double as feeding and nappy-change spots.
Riverside Birdwatching Walk:
Walk to Clontarf Creek to spot ducks, herons and curlews at low tide.
Tip: Bring binoculars and point out birds for early sensory stimulation.

Such a great park—lots of space, a big playground, and the Saturday park runs are the best!

Lots and lots of space and hopefully I’ll be able to cartwheel 20 times in a row soon. Also you can do a wee if you need to down the back on the dart station wall! There is a man called Paul th...

Lovely park for a walk, sports activities and kid play area in it. Good grass surface to suitable for team sports like hurling, cricket. Pets are allowed here. For car parking we can use the parking space outside the fairview park along the road(paid from Mon to sat) (Sunday free).

This is a beautiful park with huge fields to play hurling and football, to sit and have a picnic, and even lie down and sunbathe (when Dublin’s weather allows). There’s a basketball court, plenty of benches to sit on, a playground for kids and a lovely green area.
April–September shows off colorful flower beds and mild weather for stroller walks. Autumn leaves add color, but pack warm layers and a rain cover. Winter visits can be chilly and wet; plan shorter loops and dress in layers.
