Daytime coffee, terrace people-watching, vinyl shopping and frequent gigs or comedy create a relaxed date spot, yet bar bustle and limited cosy corners may hinder a truly intimate evening.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Couples can enjoy a relaxed coffee or light lunch, record browsing and early evening music without haste.
Morning coffee & homemade scone:
Order a speciality coffee and freshly baked scone at the bar.
Tip: Visit before 11 AM to secure one of the curved leather couches.
Browse the in-house record shop:
Flip through new and second-hand vinyl in the cozy corner.
Tip: Ask staff for hidden gems and rare local releases.
Early-evening live music:
Catch local bands or DJs upstairs with no cover charge.
Tip: Check the weekly schedule online and arrive by 7 PM to grab seats.
Stand-up comedy show:
Enjoy a comedy gig most Wednesdays through Saturdays.
Tip: Book €8–€10 tickets in advance online or by phone.
Sit on the outdoor terrace in summer for people-watching. On cooler nights, cozy up indoors to enjoy live sets without drafts.

What a lovely spot to stop in at on a day floating around cork city. Stopped in for few pints, great spot outside to watch the world go by, relaxed atmosphere. Inside was beautiful. Pints so fresh and ladies serving drinks were friendly.

We had a lovely time here at The Roundy over the bank holiday weekend. Great drinks, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were nice and welcoming. We will certainly make a habit of returning here when in Cork city.

Very nice bar and the staff were very friendly, as you'd expect from Cork people. Sit outside - it's great for people watching. There's a good mix of ages and nationalities there too. Bring a jacket with you because it can get a little chilly if there's a breeze - or maybe that's just the age I'm at! But let's not talk about my age here - just know that it's a sensitive subject. :-)

Really nice pub, could spend a few hours there and have a nice time. Didn't have food and was there for a comedy show.
