What makes it 70% Baby-Friendly: Ramps and firm sand let prams roll, toilets allow basic nappy changes, lifeguards watch shallows, and café warms bottles; yet no dedicated nursing room, indoor shelter, or buggy hire lowers comfort in wind or rain.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Short visits help avoid baby overexposure to sun and wind while covering key facilities.
Pram-friendly beach walk:
Stroll along firm, wet sand at low tide.
Tip: Check tide times on local apps. Use a wide-wheel pram.
Gentle water dips:
Ease baby into shallow water on a gradual slope.
Tip: Test water temperature first. Bring towels and dry clothes.
Use baby-friendly toilets and changing facilities:
Public toilets with changing tables are next to the playground car park.
Tip: Carry a portable changing mat and wipes for hygiene.
Warm up at nearby café:
Grab tea, coffee or hot soup at the beach store or hotel café.
Tip: Budget around €5–€10 per snack. Check opening hours before you go.

It’s gorgeous beach for walk and surfing or windsurfing, there is a lovely hotel just by the beach you can go after your walk and grab coffee or drink.

Love visiting this beach whenever we go home. Always gorgeous sun or winter weather. Recent visit a very friendly man selling coffees/hot chocolates/cookies from his van. Public toilets spotless. Great playground right by the beach too if the kids need a break. Garryvor hotel a stones though away...great bar and restaurant.

There is a food truck selling ice creams but a bigger and better pop up might make good business as there isn't a local to pop in for sar...

Lifeguards patrol late May to early September. Avoid peak sun (12–3 pm) and bring sunshade. Beach paths can be muddy after rain.
