Couples can glide together under twinkling lights, pose for photos, and share hot chocolate after, but the fixed 50-minute slot and peak-season crowds shorten romantic downtime.
This place may be temporarily closed. Please check official sources before visiting.
Why 1–2 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: A 50-minute skate session plus time for snacks and photos fits well into a couple’s outing.
50-minute skate session:
Glide together on the Alpine Skate Trail equipped with festive lights and music.
Tip: Arrive 15 minutes early to collect skates and avoid rushing.
Alpine Food Village:
Share hot chocolate, mulled wine or crepes at chalet-style stalls.
Tip: Try the signature coffee to warm up before or after skating.
Romantic photo spots:
Pose under twinkling spruce trees and snow-covered chalets.
Tip: Use a wide-angle lens on your phone to capture both you and the trail lights.
Free parking:
Park at Tedcastles Yard when you pre-book tickets online.
Tip: Show your booking confirmation at the gate for complimentary entry.
Open in winter months (November to February). Book an early evening slot to catch the lights at dusk. Weekends fill fast—weekdays are quieter.

Great set up with food stalls and other entertainment facilities. The ice quality was poor and not very smooth! Wrap up well as it is very cold especially if you are using the viewing area.

Great experience for my girls. Celebrated my youngest daughter’s birthday the day we went. She had a blast. Before the skating she enjoyed the bumper car ride too. Staff were very helpful. For none skaters like me 😅

It was a fun and warming experience. The whole layout could not be faulted. Really gr...
