How Baby-Friendly is Uluwatu Temple?

45%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 45% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free, yet stroller use is tough on stepped, uneven paths, and loud chants may upset infants. No nursing room or change table means parents must change and feed wherever possible.

Positives:

  • Free infant admission: Children under 4 enter free, saving on entrance costs.
  • Free sarong rental: Temple provides sarongs and sashes at no extra cost for dress code compliance.
  • West viewpoint seating: Benches near the ocean offer shaded spots for feeding and rest.

Challenges:

  • Uneven terrain: Steps and rough stones make strollers hard to use beyond the entrance; use a baby carrier.
  • Limited baby facilities: No dedicated changing table or nursing room; bring your own mat and wipes.

One of the most iconic temples in Bali, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. The view at sunset is absolutely stunning — a must-see experience. The atmosphere is peaceful and deeply spiritual, and it's one of the most sacred sites for Balinese Hindus. You can also enjoy the traditional Kecak dance performance at the open-air theatre during sunset — a unique cultural exper...

Spiritually at its best surround...
