I was here without a guide and was hoping to hire one at the site. Surprisingly the “guides” were not aggressively promoting themselves and it took some time for me to actually get one. But I’m glad I did, because the guide helped me understand more about the purification and the process, as well as the cultural and historical background of them.

Beautiful place. Lots of great architecture and statues. Unfortunately I may have been in the background of a lot of tiktoks and people doing it for the gram which took away from the beauty. I would give 4 Stars if less entry fees. The temple is nice, but except for the holy spring, average to other big temples. It was not too crowded when we visited on a Thursday late morning. Nice temple , peaceful and culturally rich. To enter, you need to cover your legs, but a sarong is provided for free at the entrance, which is very convenient. After the visit, there’s a local market along the exit path where you can browse souvenirs and traditional products. A lovely and authentic experience!
