Older kids enjoy glass-bottom boat tours, tame morning waves, and spacious Teletubbies Hill picnic. However, unfenced cliffs, rough drives, and scarce toilets require vigilance from parents.
Why 1-2 days visit duration is ideal for with kids: Gives time for boat rides, snorkeling, and beach viewpoints without rushing young children.
Snorkel with manta rays at Manta Point:
Board an early speedboat to the cleaning station where manta rays gather.
Tip: Book a small-group tour before you arrive, leave by 7 AM, and keep kids close in provided life jackets.
Visit Kelingking Beach viewpoint:
Walk a short trail to the T-Rex shaped cliff overlook.
Tip: Arrive before 9 AM to avoid crowds, hold hands on narrow sections, and stay at the top for views.
Swim and play at Crystal Bay:
Enjoy calm, shallow water and soft sand ideal for young swimmers.
Tip: Bring a sunshade or rent a lounger at a warung and pack water shoes for the reef.
Explore Angel’s Billabong & Broken Beach:
Walk flat clifftop paths to see a natural tidal pool and coastal arch.
Tip: Visit midday for best light, keep children well back from edges, and bring hats and water.
Photo stop at Thousand Island Viewpoint & Rumah Pohon:
Climb easy steps to panoramic ocean views and a cliffside treehouse.
Tip: Bring a picnic blanket, take family photos early, and wear sturdy shoes on stairs.

Don’t make a mistake like me and stay only one night. This island is such a gem, and you should stay for a few days to explore it.

Amazing place, try to be there by 9 am, past 10 is already way too crowded. Going down the stairs is not for anyone, so unless you train often, I would recommend to stay away, unless you use the crane and go down together with them.

This island has some of the best spots when you go to Bali. Do not miss this place. But keep in mind that the road condition is bad, very very bad that will take you longer to reach each point around the island than estimated. Do not miss Kelingking beach, Diamond beach, tree house, Suwehan beach… they are superb.

Great views, you'll have to ride a boat from Bali. Bring umbrella as it's either too hot or it rains suddenly. It's nice to have a private transportation so you can visit famous attractions if you're short of time. Good for dayntrip!

Only 25 kilometers from Bali (basically a stone's throw if you have a really good arm), this exotic island offers scenery so good you’ll forget how many stairs you’ve climbed to get those perfect photo...
