What makes it 37% Baby-Friendly: Boats do allow infants, and you can hire a car with baby seat and sit in shaded warung loungers, but steep stairs, lack of diaper stations, and rough sea crossings make visits stressful.
Note: Penida Island is 37% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Bali for a more suitable experience.
Why 1-2 days visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a morning boat tour, beach play, and island viewpoints at a relaxed pace with a baby.
Crystal Bay Beach:
Soft sand and calm shallow water ideal for baby paddling.
Tip: Bring a portable shade or baby pool. Rent a lounger at a warung by buying a drink.
Manta Point Snorkel:
Private boat trip to see manta rays from the boat deck or snorkel area.
Tip: Book early, ask for a baby-safe life jacket, and split duties between adults for supervision.
Kelingking Beach Viewpoint:
Short walk to the famous T-Rex cliff viewpoint.
Tip: Arrive at sunrise, stay on the viewing platform, and keep the baby in a secure carrier.
Thousand Islands Viewpoint & Rumah Pohon:
Easy stop with flat picnic area and treehouse photo spot.
Tip: Stay near the car to avoid steep stairs. Visit at sunrise to avoid crowds.
Angel’s Billabong & Broken Beach:
Flat clifftop paths to natural rock pools and sea arches.
Tip: Combine both sites with one parking fee. Keep the baby well back from cliff edges.

Don’t make a mistake like me and stay only one night. This island is such a gem, and you should stay for a few days to explore it.

Amazing place, try to be there by 9 am, past 10 is already way too crowded. Going down the stairs is not for anyone, so unless you train often, I would recommend to stay away, unless you use the crane and go down together with them.

This island has some of the best spots when you go to Bali. Do not miss this place. But keep in mind that the road condition is bad, very very bad that will take you longer to reach each point around the island than estimated. Do not miss Kelingking beach, Diamond beach, tree house, Suwehan beach… they are superb.

Great views, you'll have to ride a boat from Bali. Bring umbrella as it's either too hot or it rains suddenly. It's nice to have a private transportation so you can visit famous attractions if you're short of time. Good for dayntrip!

Nusa Penida is like Bali’s little sibling – smaller, quieter, but oh-so-stunning. It’s the Instagram model of the Bali province, with views so breathtaking they might just knock your flip-flops off. Only 25 kilometers from Bali (basically a stone's throw if you have a really good arm), this exotic island offers scenery so good you’ll forget how many stairs you’ve climbed to get those perfect photo...
Visit from May to September for calm seas and less rain. Plan boat trips in the early morning for smoother waters.
