Couples enjoy panoramic sunset views, romantic sand walks and inexpensive seafood warungs; absence of loud clubs preserves privacy, but rough surf limits safe swimming dates.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Plenty of time for cliffview sunset, a beach stroll and a short surf lesson before dusk.

Tip: Bring a small flashlight for the walk back to parking.
Private surf lesson for two:
Book a 2-hour lesson and board rental through Balangan Wave Surf School.
Tip: Reserve online a day ahead to secure an instructor.
Beach yoga at dawn or dusk:
Join Balangan Yoga & Love’s daily classes for a couple’s wellness session.
Tip: Arrive early to set your mat at the front row by the water.

Balangan Beach is a scenic cliffside gem with golden sand, powerful waves, and fewer crowds than other Bali beaches. Great for sunsets and surfers, with epic views from the top. The vibe is raw, peaceful, and photogenic — one of Bali’s underrated beauties.

A mission to get to, but worth the effort. A beautiful and clean surfing beach. Not much space to lay in the sun and sunbathe, but great waves and views. Wide range of restaurants to visit also.

Out of the way beach that was very quiet when we were there. Very soft, white sand and many surfers and surf schools. They try to sell you a beach lounge for around 200k for 2 and they seem to not be associated with the restaurants.
