Positives:

  • Secluded Cove: The rocky walls shield the bay from winds, creating calm water for swimming.
  • Scenic Views: The footpath offers elevated vantage points ideal for photos together.

Challenges:

  • Steep Access Path: The narrow stone path down to the beach can be slippery; bring proper footwear.
  • Pebble Shore: The beach is pebbly rather than sandy; beach shoes or a thick towel improve comfort.

The water here is amazing I really enjoyed to swim there. For two people we paid 25 Eur and got the sunbed from the second row. After second row, sunbeds for two are 20 Eur but they are not clean as like the first two rows. The main problem here is wc. They have only plastic cabins. Also to eat they sell only sandwiches.

The food was not very special. Loved the sunbeds at this beach. They were so soft and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely visit the beach again.

The beach itself was lovely—clean water, a great spot for a morning swim, and ideal for snorkeling. We only visited in the morning to enjoy a swim and a coffee. However, the atmosphere at the bar was a bit off. The staff, particularly the guy at the bar and his girlfriend, seemed somewhat annoyed and not very welcoming—perhaps because it was still early, around 9 a.m. It created a slightly uncomf...

Psaromoura Beach is a little hidden, which makes it the perfect place for a quiet morning or afternoon. There’s lot’s of beds to rent, but the prices were very high (€15,- for two) compared to other beaches. But also some room to sit in the sand.

Very beautiful beach which during low season (end of October) wasn’t too crowded (high season is most likely very different). The water is so clear and it was a snorkeling paradise for us and the kids!

When is the best time to visit Psaromoura Beach (Heraklion, Greece)?

Services run May to September. Visit in May or September for mild weather and fewer crowds. In July–August arrive before 10am to secure sunbeds. Outside summer most rentals and the bar close.
